Refinanced!

As of yesterday, we now owe a whole lot of money to Citibank. After only 6 months, we refinanced our home to drop our interest rate, we went from 6.125% to 4.875%. Which is huge over 30 years, its already $125 cheaper every month, which is always awesome.

The process was 100 times better than with US Bank. I think if you will remember back, I was terrible disappointed with the US Bank loan officer and almost closed all of my US Bank accounts to switch to Wells Fargo. But Jody made everything easy, the only bad thing I have to say was at the end it all went so quickly we had to be a little more flexible with when we wanted to close than we wanted to. (Mike had to drive up from St. Paul to Minnetonka to close over his lunch hour.) Although closing took like 20 minutes so it wasn't terrible. But I will say hats off to Jody!

Jody Grieger, our loan officer, involved us only as much as we needed to be. Didn't burden us with excess info or unnecessary paper work. I admit I think she didn't always remember us exactly, but she was super friendly, extremely responsive and very very helpful. Kevin Bosley recommended her back when we first were applying for loans, but we were already in too deep with US Bank. She's really great though I would highly recommend her if you are looking to purchase a house or refinance a current mortgage.
